2026 Summer Meals 2 Go Program!
Parkland Food Services is thrilled to announce the return of our Summer Meals 2 Go program for 2026!
Following a successful launch last year—where we served over 16,250 meals to 300+ children—we are ready to once again bridge the nutrition gap for our families during the summer break.
Program Overview:

Who Can Participate: The program is open to all children 18 and under in the community.

Eligibility: Free for children who qualify for free/reduced-price meals.

Paid Option: Families who do not qualify may purchase the 10-meal package (5 breakfasts/5 lunches) for $35 per week.

Distribution Hub: All meals will be distributed exclusively from Parkland High School - 2700 N Cedar Crest Blvd. Allentown, PA 18104. While we previously operated out of Ironton Elementary, this new centralized location provides the necessary space and federal compliance to scale the program effectively.
Schedule & Logistics:

Dates: Mondays, June 22nd – August 17th, 2026.

Holiday Exception: Pick-up the week of July 6th, will move to Tuesday, July 7th due to the holiday.

Pick-up Windows: 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

Ordering: Weekly pre-orders are strongly encouraged and are due the Tuesday prior to each pick-up date. Forms will be sent to families via email and posted on our website and social media.

2026-2027 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
Those entering first grade must be a minimum of five (5) years and seven (7) months of age by September 1, 2025. Students must be of appropriate chronological age for school registration.
Similarly, if you have a child who is enrolled in a private kindergarten program who you are planning to enroll for the first time in Parkland Schools for first grade, we invite you to register now.
Families can begin calling their incoming student’s school to obtain a registration link. Don’t delay. Please call now in order to help us prepare our staffing needs. Once you are registered, visit our Kindergarten Program Info Page.

Attention 5th Grade Parents:
Springhouse will hold a 6th Grade Meet and Greet again this summer for all current 5th graders and soon-to-be incoming 6th graders on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

To achieve this, we focus on composing classrooms based on a variety of factors and are unable to accommodate specific teacher requests. Parents have unique insights into your child’s social, academic, emotional, and physical development.
